ROLE SUMMARY:
The Logistics Manager will take charge of coordinating and overseeing crucial logistics operations across multiple facilities. You'll play a pivotal role in collaborating with various departments such as production, sales, and planning to ensure seamless material flow and timely deliveries to our valued customers. As the Logistics Manager, you'll be responsible for driving business execution, motivating team members, and continuously improving processes. Your expertise in implementing, training, and maintaining logistics policies will be essential for optimizing inventory and ensuring efficient supply chain activities. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF LOGISTICS MANAGER CAN LOOK LIKE:
- Material Movement Management: Overseeing the movement, distribution, and storage of materials between multiple facilities.
- Inventory Control: Ensuring optimal inventory levels based on demand and supply chain activities.
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensuring timely delivery of incoming materials and outgoing finished products to meet customer requirements.
- Warehouse Supervision: Supervising warehouse operations, material handling, transportation, and workforce planning.
- Safety Compliance: Ensuring compliance with safety rules and processes, including training for warehouse and distribution workers.
- Reporting: Preparing and presenting reports to support finance and upper management initiatives.
- Quality Compliance: Complying with all SQF procedures and policies, reporting any food safety concerns promptly.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or G.E.D. required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- At least 3 years of work experience in a production/packaging/warehouse environment, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Familiarity with warehouse management and yard management systems is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access; familiarity with SAP software applications is a plus.
- Valid driver's license required for providing support between production and warehouse facilities.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Proficient problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
LOCATION: St. Peters, Missouri
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday Day Shift (At times we run a second shift where you might be needed)
PAY: $65,000 per year
